What is aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the art and science of using botanical essential oils.
Aromatherapy is a natural method of affecting our whole self not just the symptom of disease. Essential oils are pure, plant substances extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant. These essential oil have their natural aroma and each of them have their own healing properties for body, mind and soul.
We know the origin of each oil, we support eco projects. These powerful aromatic essential oils can help you to balance, regulate, maintain and promote the health of your body, mind and soul.
Aromatherapy is holistic and enjoyable; we use only the highest quality essential oils.
Two main methods of Aromatherapy; inhalation and application
Both of these methods can affect the limbic system. When we inhale, the neural impulses go directly to the limbic system. The limbic system connects to all other parts of the brain and in particular to the thalamus and hypothalamus, from where our whole endocrine system is controlled the system for our mood, metabolism, digestive and the automatic nervous system, bodily functional.
For application, essential oils are often used in massage, body- and skin care. There is evidence that oils applied to the skin enter the bloodstream. Whether the effect will be calming and cooling, warming and invigorating, toning to the uterus or tonic to the liver depends upon the chemistry of each oil.
All of us can easily use aromatherapy in the daily life. It’s a wellness for body, mind and soul. We can inhale essential oils, use them in a bath or making our own body oil.
