Teatree essential oil

Our Tea tree essential oil is coming from Kenia. Kenia has an excellent climate for growing of the Tea Trees. The bright green leaves cover the branches of the plants, which can reach over six meter in height. The name Tea Tree is derived from the Australian Aborigines who used to brew the leaves of the tree into a herbal tea.

For our essential oil we steam distilled 50-75 kg of the leaves to receive 1 kg of essential oil.

Tea tree essential oil is active against all three categories of infectious organisms; bacteria, viruses and fungi. Tea tree essential oil is also excellent for stimulating the immune system and preventing the spread of infection. It is particularly beneficial for fighting colds, flu, respiratory infections and urinary/genital infections. Tea tree can also be used to help reduce fever.

Tea tree essential oil is beneficial for a wide range of skin problems including acne, blemishes, athletes foot, cold sores, blisters, insect bites, cuts, infected wounds, warts and shingles.

Research has proven that Tea Tree Essential Oil is equally as effective as benzoyl peroxide in the treatment of acne without causing any of the side effects usually found with this chemical, and its antifungal properties have been shown to be highly effective on ringworm and athletes foot.

Tips

Add a few drops of Tea tree essential in a hot bath when you feel the first signs of a cold.

Safety

Non-toxic, but may cause skin irritation in people with sensitive skin. For children choose Cajeput essential oil.
