Our grapefruit oil is obtained in Italy by cold pression of the peel from the fruit. We need 100 kg peel to receive 1 kg of essential oil

Grapefruit Essential Oil helps to stimulate the lymphatic system, which is why it is used in massage blends for the treatment of cellulite and the elimination of toxins, whilst in skincare it relieves oily or congested skin and has a toning action on tired complexions.

It has an antiseptic and antiviral action that can be used alone or in blends to protect against chills and colds and when vaporised, Grapefruit Essential Oil kills airborne bacteria thereby helping to prevent germs from spreading throughout the family or at work.

Tips

Create your own “sunshine” feeling at home. Ad 2-3 drops on dried flowers in a bowl.

Ad 1-2 drops on a tissue, natural stone or in your aroma diffuser for concentration.

Safety

May cause skin irritation, especially if the oil is older and oxidized. Use in low dilution when applying to the skin, such as in baths or massage oils. According to Essential Oil Safety, by Robert Tisserand, Grapefruit is phototoxic, and limit topical use to 4% when used in a blend (24 drops maximum per ounce). Skin irritation is generally a bigger concern than phototoxicity.
