Coriander is a fragrant annual herb with delicate white flowers turning into masses of round seeds. Our essential oil is steam distilled from the crushed, ripe seeds in Turkey.

Coriander seeds have been used for thousands of years, by the Egyptians as an aphrodisiac, They also called Coriander the spice of happiness.By the Romans and Greeks to flavor their wines and in India for cooking and it is still used to complement magic Incantations to the Gods. Coriander seeds were even found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. The Carmelite order in France used Coriander seeds to flavor their 17th century toilet water and it is still used in Chartreuse and Benedictine liqueurs. In Chinese medical texts dating back to 207 B.C was Coriander recommended for long life.


Coriander essential oil is helpful for calming and balancing. It can bring mental clarity, help clear thinking, and potentially work to release blocked mental energy. Specifically relating to stress headaches Coriander has been used also for muscle tension and exhaustion. Coriander is warming and great for reducing pain from rheumatism, arthritis and muscle spasms.
