St. John’s Wort oil

Our hypericum oil is an infusion of the blossoms from the Hypericum bush also known as St John’s Wort growing in Turkey. The fresh picked flowers are yellow, but after infused in a suitable carrier oil its becomes a red oil. This is because of the hypericin and other flavonoids which are contained in the buds and flowers. Crushing a flower bud between the fingers releases also a red liquid. Since centuries Hypericum oil has been used for cramps, spasm and general muscular aches. Hypericum oil can be helpful for soothing and calming all types of sensitive, red or irritated skin. It can also be used for intensive treatments on sprains, bruises, stretch marks or spider veins.
