Our cardamom essential oil is steam distilled from seeds harvested from this herbaceous perennial plant, cultivated in Guatemala. Twenty kg of seed gives 1 litre of oil Cardamom belongs to the same family as Ginger (Zingiberaceae). Cardamom has been used for centuries as a digestive aid relieving gas, nausea, heartburn and diarrhea. Reference to as “grains of paradise” cardemon is traditional used in many forms as a general tonic for vitality, stability and overall physical and mental balance, This potent aromatic medicine has the ability to bring vibrancy to ones life by boosting energy and defeating sluggishness.”

Cardamon essential oil has soothing and antibacterial properties It is a wonderful oil for aiding mental concentration (cephalic). SAFETY

The hot and spicy nature can cause skin irritation if not diluted. Cardamom should not be used for children under 5 years old, as 1,8 cineole can also cause CNS and breathing problems in young children. Use with caution on children between 5-10 years old. 

The suggested shelf life is 4-5 years.
